Read this first. It applies on site and in the workshop, every time.
Electrical and DC hazards
Battery cells and assembled packs are live DC sources and cannot be switched off. No metal tools, jewellery or watches near exposed terminals. Insulated tools only where directed. Never place tools or metal objects on top of cells or packs. Short circuits can cause severe burns, arc flash and fire.
